Sprawling over 120 acres the golf course has moved 4 times from 1896 to 1925 before settling in its "final" and present location in 1926. Mr. William Rogers a professional at Kanawaki Golf Club on Montreal's South shore was hired to construct the present course. From the late 20's no major changes were made until expansion in 1958.
Except for a few miner alterations golfers have been enjoying the same layout for 50 years.
Please join us for a round, you'll enjoy a very challenging and mature golf course which is maintained by Course Superintendant Lloyd Jollota and his staff. You will undoubtly come face to face with centennial oaks or be forced to shape shots around honey locusts or northern catalpas. A new irrigation system ensures plush conditions all season and you'll surely remember our small speedy greens. Range balls and pull carts are always complimentary.
In the past this club has hosted a Canadian Tour Event, the Ottawa Valley PGA Zone Championship, the Quebec Amateur Championship and is the home of the Cornwall Open since 1957.
Boasting over 22 years experience in the golf industry Lloyd Jollota has been our course superintendent since 1999. A graduate of Algonquin College he also posseses numerous turf management certificates from Cornell University and as an accomplished archer he has enjoyed several provincial and national titles. Lloyd is a devoted family man with two lovely girls, Natalie and Emily and a very understanding wife Wendy.
